World Cup Season: Traveling to the U.S.? Read This First

Happy World Cup Season! ⚽🌎

As international travel ramps up ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, we're seeing some surprisingly short wait times for U.S. visitor visa interviews in several cities around the world.

Before applying for a B1/B2 visitor visa, remember these key questions:

🟢 Can you clearly explain why you are visiting the United States?

🟢 What ties will bring you back home? (Employment, family, property, business, school, etc.)

🟢 Can you show that your visit will be temporary?

Bonus: Have you traveled internationally before and complied with the immigration laws of the countries you visited?

These are some of the same factors Attorney Tatiauna Holland specifically asked U.S. Embassy representatives about during a recent public outreach event in Accra.

Planning to travel? Check the current visa wait timeson the U.S. Department of State website before scheduling your interview.
